Our Adventure Book
Our Adventure Book, along with our pet "Teddy," is a book that is born and continuously written through the collaboration of the different families
The school assembly
The school assembly (circle time) is the most enriching moment of the day, whose main objective is promoted communication.
Early Stimulation Workshop
We would like to introduce an initiative from our educational and speech therapy team, led by Laura Zafra, a speech therapist and an early intervention specialist.
The infant community environment
The word "community" derives from the Latin term "comunnitas," which means "to be together." We can observe life in a community among all living beings, from plants to humans, living together to relate and help one another.
The Nursery Environment
When we talk about a Nursery environment, we are referring to the prepared environment for infants aged 4 months to 18 months, always considering the educational needs of the children. This space should be seen as a welcoming, familial, intimate, and safe living environment.
The role of the Montessori guide.
The Montessori guide is the equivalent to a teacher in a traditional school. They play a fundamental role in the Montessori system: they are the ones who are responsible for the prepared environment. Their main task is to accompany the child, allowing natural development and facilitating learning
Routines in childhood
It is proven that routines provide security and benefit their way of behaving. A life without routines can lead to insecurity, as they do not know what will happen, leading to stress. In contrast, a child who knows what will happen at each moment feels tranquillity in every situation and, therefore, shows greater independence in their actions.
First AID training
Mountain Peak Montessori School remains committed to ongoing training. This morning, our teaching and non-teaching staff have completed the first aid course taught by Cruz Roja*. It is essential for our team to keep our training up to date to be able to respond effectively in emergency situations.
The beginning of the school year: Tips for the First Few Days
We approach a significant date on the calendar: the beginning of the school year for many of our students for the first time. The process of adaptation is crucial because boys and girls experience gaining the security and confidence they already have at home. This work allows them to develop their own personality and autonomy in the long term.
