In our Nido environment, the little ones explore the world with their hands 👐. Every detail is carefully designed to support the development of fine motor skills: from inset blocks and baskets filled with natural objects, to transfer activities using spoons and small containers.

The beginning of the school year is always a special time at Mountain Peak Montessori School. During the first two days, our main objective has been to accompany the children as they adapt to their new environment, offering them a space that is safe, calm, and filled with affection.

Tips for the First Few Days

We approach a significant date on the calendar: the beginning of the school year for many of our students for the first time. This marks one of the most important changes in their lives, as they separate from their families, leave their homes, and spend the day in an unfamiliar environment. This significant change will introduce new routines, new relationships beyond their family environment, and a new space to explore. Therefore, it is a big step that can initially be a bit stressful, but they will gradually adapt to it.

Initial Meetings

As we approach the beginning of a new school year, we would like to remind you of the importance of the individual meetings taking place tomorrow and on Thursday. These meetings are a cornerstone of our Montessori philosophy, as they enable us to establish a strong foundation of communication and trust between families, children, and the educational team.
