Discovery Proyect
At Mountain Peak Montessori School, we nurture children's natural curiosity through dynamic and engaging learning experiences. For this reason, we have created the "Discovery" project—an exciting adventure in which our pupils immerse themselves in the fascinating world of dinosaurs and volcanoes.
Throughout this project, they explore what the Earth was like millions of years ago, learning about the different types of dinosaurs that once roamed the planet, their characteristics, diets, and habitats. We use sensory materials and hands-on activities that allow pupils to experience and better understand these prehistoric creatures. From archaeological excavations in sand trays to creating fossil footprints, each activity is designed to spark their imagination and enthusiasm for learning.
But the adventure does not end there. We also delve into the fascinating world of volcanoes, discovering how they are formed, what causes them to erupt, and how they have shaped the history of our planet. Children conduct experiments with erupting volcano models, observing nature’s power up close through an interactive and enjoyable approach.
This project not only fuels their scientific curiosity but also strengthens key skills such as observation, logical reasoning, and teamwork.
At Mountain Peak Montessori School, every child is a young explorer with an immense desire to learn. Through the "Discovery" project, we offer them the opportunity to travel through time, unearth the secrets of the past, and marvel at the wonders of nature.
