A World Full of Colours to Discover!

Over the coming days, our school will be filled with colours, discoveries and new experiences. Through a variety of sensory activities and hands-on experiences, the children will begin to become familiar with the colours that surround us.

At Mountain Peak Montessori School, we will explore colours in a fun, natural and meaningful way, following each child's individual pace, interests and curiosity.

We will explore a range of materials, sort objects by colour, take part in matching activities, experiment with paints and discover what happens when we mix different colours together.

We will also observe our surroundings, identifying the colours found in everyday objects, elements of nature and the materials within our learning environment.

Through these experiences, we will support the development of visual perception, concentration, language, coordination and observation skills, whilst also encouraging independence and learning through exploration and experimentation.

Because, during these early stages of development, learning means touching, looking, trying, discovering and, above all, enjoying the experience.
