Franz Marc Project
Art is a wonderful tool for developing creativity, observation, and emotional expression. In this project, the children have explored the world of Franz Marc, an artist renowned for his colourful depictions of animals.
Franz Marc believed that animals possessed their own language and that their colours could reflect emotions. Inspired by his work, our young learners have been encouraged to observe animals, their shapes and movements, and to interpret them through colour and painting. From blue horses to red cats, the children have brought their own versions of animals to life using vibrant colours and imaginative forms.
In keeping with the Montessori philosophy, the children do not merely reproduce images: they experiment with brushes, mix colours, and explore textures. They also learn to respect materials, share creative spaces, and work with concentration. Each artwork reflects not only their learning but also their emotions and personal perspective of the world.
The Franz Marc project fosters creativity, self-esteem, and environmental observation. Furthermore, through studying animals, children learn about nature, diversity, and the importance of caring for the world around them.
Art is more than an activity: it is a way to understand the world, express emotions, and grow together. Thanks to Franz Marc and his animals, children discover that life is full of colour and creativity.
